The girl in question is Grace. Says an eye-witness, "Vivek and Grace came together and were quiet comfortable with each other — like old friends. Vivek seemed quite smitten with her and was seen introducing her proudly to everyone present. When everyone quizzed him about his relationship with her, he simply said they would know everything in a couple of weeks." After the event, they left together and headed for dinner.
Says a source close to Vivek, "Grace is an Italian girl who is in to Mumbai for work. She's from South Africa, is a professional surfing trainer and the brand ambassador for Billabong. They met last year when Vivek had gone surfing while shooting in South Africa for the Prince of Thieves. He was introduced to her through a common family friend."
Just 'good friends'
The friend adds that Vivek and Grace are not dating each other though they're very good friends. "Grace came to Mumbai for work as she is a global athlete for Billabong and trains people in surfing."
Papa Suresh Oberois adds, "Grace merely accompanied Vivek to Dilip Chabria's event. She has even been home for lunch a few times and we are very fond of her." Grace is expected to leave Mumbai in a few days."
